Building Permit Forms
The City of Olive Branch has added a new way to submit your building plans or permits.. Effective 10.21.25, all applications and associated materials can now be submitted electronically at www.obms.us/apply.
With this new electronic application processing system, you will be able to:
- Submit your applications and upload associated materials online
- Follow the review process online, including viewing the status of your application
- See staff review comments online once they are posted
- See the building and other development review staff (engineering, fire, planning, etc) that are assigned to review your application. With this knowledge, you should be able to reach out directly to that staff to discuss any issues you may have regarding your application.
- Pay applications review fees online.
There are processing fees for paying online: E-check fees are $1.95. Credit card payments will be 3.75% of the application fee, with a minimum of $2.50.
You can also visit the Building and Permit Office located on the ground level of City Hall to pay by cash, check, or card.

- Banner Permit Application (PDF) - Banner Permit Applications Must Be Accompanied by Approval from Property Owner/Management Company. All Banners Must Be Pre-Approved by Code Enforcement Prior to Submitting to Building Department We Cannot Accept Payment for Banner Permits Until They Are Signed by Code Enforcement. Call 662-892-9342 to Meet with Code Enforcement.
- Building Plan Review Application (PDF) for Commercial or Industrial Buildings (to Be Submitted for Plan Review Prior to Submitting a Building Permit Application)
- Property Owner Certificate (PDF) - Must be notarized and accompany a permit application for new construction, additions, or renovations when pulled by a non-licensed property owner acting as their own general contractor.
- Building Permit Fee Chart (PDF) - Contact the Building Department for the correct fee amounts. Fees turned in based solely on this chart may be incorrect and will delay acceptance of the permit.
