Fire Operations Division

The Fire Operations Division comprises the largest personnel group in the Olive Branch Fire Department. Dan Phillips is the Deputy Chief of Fire Operations and is responsible for the leadership and management of response services from 5 stations inside the City of Olive Branch. The five stations house a various emergency response apparatus including Engine Companies, Truck Companies, and Paramedic level ambulances.

The core responsibility of the Fire Operations Division is to efficiently and effectively deliver customer-centered emergency response services ranging from fire suppression, technical rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizens and visitors of Olive Branch, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The Fire Department's ability to respond in a prompt manner, with an adequate and well-trained staff using the correct apparatus and equipment, is what allows it to control fires and other emergencies in a safe and effective manner. The Fire Operations Division also provides support to the Fire Prevention Division's community outreach programs as well as the Training Division's programs.

Fire Operations team members are assigned to one of three 24-hour shifts (A,B,and C shifts). Each shift is led by a Battalion Chief. The Battalion Chiefs supervise Lieutenants, Driver/Engineers, Firefighters, and Paramedics. The Deputy Chief of Operations supervises three Battalion Chiefs.
