Winter Storm 2026 update 01.24.26

As Olive Branch enters another night of winter weather, residents are urged to take precautions and limit travel.  Ken Adams, Olive Branch Mayor, the Board of Aldermen, and City Staff please ask everyone to please review the following safety checklist and continue to look out for one another.

**At Home**

Stay indoors and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary

If you need to go out, limit your time outdoors to 10-15 minutes

Let faucets drip and open cabinet doors to help prevent frozen pipes

Bring pets inside and check on elderly or vulnerable neighbors

 Keep phones charged and flashlights nearby

 Use space heaters safely by plugging them in directly to a wall outlet. NO EXTENSION CORDS! 

 Never use generators indoors

**Travel**

Road conditions remain icy and dangerous. Stay home if possible!!

Please stay off the roads if possible to allow emergency crews and all road clearing implements ample space to operate safely

The Olive Branch Police Department Inclement weather policy remains in effect
