Update Regarding Parks and Recreation and Senior Center (March 20, 2020)

Governor Reeves announced yesterday that all public schools throughout the State of Mississippi will be closed through April 17, 2020. For the health and safety of our citizens and employees, and in an effort to flatten the curve, our Parks and Recreation Department will extend the date of suspended recreational activities through April 17, 2020, as well. This includes tournaments, recreational events, practices, and other organized gatherings. Our Senior Center will also follow these guidelines and remain closed through April 17, 2020. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we all work through this together. We encourage everyone to continue practicing social distancing and avoid crowds of more than 10, as recommended by the White House COVID-19 Task Force.
