Park Facilities Rental

The following Olive Branch City Park facilities are available for public rental.

  • Complexes A, B, C & Soccer
    Complexes A, B, C & Soccer
    • Security Deposit of $250.00 per complex required before facility is reserved.
    • Tournament fee is $1,000.00 per day for A Complex, includes 4 fields (additional fields are $250 each). $1,000.00 per day for B,C, and Soccer. Balance less security deposit payable on Monday before rental. All concessions will be operated by Olive Branch Parks and Recreaction Department.
    • $1,000,000.00 Liability Insurance Policy is required of the renting party with the City of Olive Branch listed as the additional insured.

    The Department of Parks and Recreation staff is responsible for determining playing conditions of fields. If fields can be made playable with the use of drying agents the renting party can incur the additional costs involved for the drying agents and the additional personnel if it so chooses. An agreement will be signed at the time of the request for the use of the drying agents.

    Not available for rent. Reservations must be made through the Parks and Recreation office.

  • Track

    Not available for rent. Only available with a contract approved by the Board of Aldermen.

  • Pavilion
    Pavilion

    The pavilions available for rental are located in the Olive Branch City Park.

    The large pavilion is located in the pine grove next to the tennis courts.

    The smaller pavilion is located next to the large lake.

    The rental fees are as follows:

    • $60.00 per day for Olive Branch residents.
    • $120.00 per day for non-residents.
    • $200.00 per day for corporate events.
    • The fee is payable at the time of reservation.
  • Amphitheater

    The rental fee for the Amphitheater is as follows:

    • $60.00 per day for Olive Branch residents.
    • $120.00 per day for non-residents.
    • $200.00 per day for corporate events.

    The fee is payable at the time of reservation.

  • Complex A, B, & C Practice Rental Fee

    The practice rental field fee for the A, B, or C complex is as follows:

    • $100.00 per field per 90 minute time slot

Sports Programs

Olive Branch offers several programs that keep the community actively involved in sports. We have sports for everyone. Men and women, young and old, can find something to get into. Check out the variety of sports programs we support below.

  • Youth Baseball & Softball

    OBPR offers one of the largest non-competitive recreational baseball and softball leagues in North Mississippi. Boys ages 4 to 16, Girls ages 4 to 16 may register. The fee includes a hat, shirt, picture package, insurance, and officials' fees. Practices begin in March, and games begin in April.

    Program Price: $75 per participant (Desot County Resident) $100 per participant (Non-Desoto County Resident). *cash or check only* *birth certificate is required to register*

    Registration: January 3, 2022 - Noon January 29, 2022. A waiting list will begin on Monday, February 1, 2022.

    Location: Parks and Recreation Office

    • All games are played in the Olive Branch City Park.
    • Games that are rained-out can change the length of the season.
    • No games or practices will be scheduled on a Sunday.
    • Season runs Mid April to End of June
  • Adult Softball

    OBPR offers leagues for open teams as well as church teams with divisions for men and women. The fee covers officials fees, balls, line up sheets and trophies. Space is limited.

    Program Price: $500 per team. *cash or check only*

    Registration: February 8 to March 5.

    Location: Parks and Recreation Office

    • All games are played in the Olive Branch City Park at Complex C.
    • Games that are rained-out can change the length of the season.
    • Open League games are played on Monday and Wednesday.
    • Church League games are played on Tuesday and Thursday.
    • Season runs from April to July.
  • Spring Youth Soccer

    Olive Branch Parks and Recreation offers non-competitive soccer to youth ages 4 to 16. Child must be age 4 before Sept. 1, 2021. The registration fee includes the shirt, shorts, socks, picture package, officials' fees, and insurance.

    Program Price: $75 per participant (Desoto County Resident) $100 per participant (Non-Desoto County Resident). *cash or check only* *birth certificate is required to register*

    Registration: November 15, 2021 - Noon December 11, 2021

    Location: Parks and Recreation Office

    • All games are played at the Olive Branch Soccer Complex.
    • Games that are rained out can change the length of the season.
    • No games or practices will be scheduled on a Sunday.
  • Youth Basketball

    A non-competitive basketball league is available to boys and girls, ages 7 to 12. The registration fee covers the cost of basketball jersey, picture package, insurance, and officials' fees.

    Program Price: $60 per participant. *cash or check only* *birth certificate is required to register*

    Registration: September 20, 2021 - Noon October 16, 2021

    Location: Parks and Recreation Office

    • No games or practices will be scheduled on a Wednesday or Sunday.
    • Games are played at the Olive Branch Middle School 6530 South Blocker Street.
  • Adult Fall Co-Ed Softball

    An adult co-ed softball league is available for any team desiring to play through the fall. The fee covers officials’ fees and trophies. Space is limited. The season begins in September and ends in October.

    Program Price: $500 per team. *chash or check only*

    Registration: July 1 - July 30

    Location: Parks and Recreation Office

  • Fall Youth Soccer

    Olive Branch Parks and Recreation offers non-competitive soccer to youth ages 4 to 16. Child must be age 4 on or before Sept. 1, 2021, or no older than 16 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2021. The registration fee includes the shirt, shorts, socks, picture package, officials fees, and insurance.

    Program Price: $75 per participant (Desoto County Resident) $100 per participant (Non-Desoto County Resident). *cash or check only* *birth certificate is required to register*

    Registration: May 17, 2021 8am-5pm through June 12, 2021 8am-12pm

    Location: Parks and Recreation office

    Olive Branch City Park

    The City of Olive Branch has many park amenities to offer the community. The Olive Branch City Park, located at 8267 Goodman Road, is 135 acres in size and offers the following:

    • Three lakes (one with a pier)
    • Five tennis courts
    • Playground
    • 3 ball field complexes
    • Eight-lane track
    • Two miles of walking trails with exercise stations
    • Half mile nature trail
    • Scenic overlook
    • Amphitheater
    • 2 Picnic pavilions
    • Mountain Bike Trail
    • Large Dog Park
    • Small Dog Park

    The mountain bike trail is ideal for beginners or those who just want a quick ride. It travels through open areas and wooded areas of the park.

    Park hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven days per week.

    Entrances to the park are located at 8267 Goodman Road, about a quarter mile east of the intersection of the Goodman Bypass at Goodman Road. Second entrance is at the intersection of College Street at Highway 305 next to the Piggly Wiggly.

    Pavilion and Amphitheater Reservations

    The pavilion and amphitheater may be reserved for a non-refundable fee of $60.00 per day for Olive Branch residents, $120.00 per day for non-residents, and $200.00 per day for corporate events. Reservations may be made through the park office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call 662-893-5219 for more information.

    The fee reserves the pavilion for the entire day from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The large pavilion is equipped with electricity and six permanently affixed picnic tables, the small pavilion is equipped with electricity and four permanently affixed picnic tables. Charcoal grills are available as well. A contract must be completed and on file with the park office prior to each use.

    The fee reserves the amphitheater for the entire day, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The amphitheater stage is equipped with electricity. The stadium style seating can seat 125 people. A contract must be completed and on file with the park office.

    The Olive Branch City Park is equipped with several walking trails and a quarter-mile oval track. The full walking trail provides a scenic tour of the entire park and is two miles in length. There are several exercise stations placed along this trail, so anyone can maximize their workouts. The park is also equipped with a half-mile nature trail, which offers a different terrain and nature at its best.

    Magnolia Community Park

    Magnolia Community Park is located at 10111 Oak Leaf in the Magnolia Estates Subdivision at the intersection of Oak Leaf and Alexander. This park offers a ½ mile paved multi-purpose trail, playground, picnic tables, and a large open area for various activities. It has the distinction of being the first recognized urban forest in the state of Mississippi.

    It was constructed in 1999 with grant assistance from many area businesses and state agencies. These included PepsiAmericas, Weyerhauser, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Mississippi Forestry Commission, Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi, and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.

    Southridge Community Park is located at 9730 Eva Drive. The park is 19 acres in size and borders Lick Creek. Amenities include a playground with rubberized safety surfacing, 1/2 mile walking trail, picnic tables, benches, baseball practice area with backstop, and 2-acre lake.

    George M. Harrison Municipal Soccer Complex

    George M. Harrison Municipal Park is located at 8700 Church Rd at the intersection of Hwy 305. Amenities include 5 lighted international size soccer fields, automated lighting control system, automated irrigation, small pavillion and lake.
