Happy New Year from the City of Olive Branch

Happy New Year, OB!

On behalf of Mayor Ken Adams, the Board of Aldermen, and all of us at the City of Olive Branch, we would like to wish you an excellent start to 2026!

City Hall and other City Buildings will be closed in observance of New Years Day on Thursday, January 1st and Friday, January 2nd. Emergency Services will not be affected. Garbage Collection will not be in operation on 01/01. Services will be delayed by one day. 

Residents are encouraged to remember that there has been an update to the City Ordinances regarding the discharge of Fireworks. Discharging, shooting, and igniting fireworks shall be allowed ONLY on the following dates and times:

  • DECEMBER 23-26, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
  • DECEMBER 30, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
  • DECEMBER 31, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 12:15 am
  • JANUARY 1- 2, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm

Please be advised that the law will be strictly enforced by the City of Olive Branch Police Department. The discharging, shooting and igniting of fireworks within the City limits of Olive Branch are prohibited outside of these dates and/or times. Winter Weather Preparedness

Be prepared ahead of any inclement weather this Winter by taking steps today.  

When temperatures drop to extreme lows, it is strongly advise to drip your faucets to help prevent pipes from freezing in your home. You can mark your water meter and sewer clean-out so that they can be found quickly in the event of a pipe burst or sewer backup. Blue (water) and Green (sewer) flags are available at the Public Works Facility and at City Hall for residents. Place one blue flag by your water meter box and one green flag next to your sewer clean out.

This is  a great time to sign up for emergency notifications to be sent to your cell phone. If you haven’t already signed up to receive these notifications, simply text olivebranch to 888777.  Dial 911 if you are needing immediate emergency services. MLK JR DAY CLOSURE

City Hall and other City Buildings will be closed in observance of the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19th. Emergency Services will not be affected.  Garbage Collection will not be in operation on 01/19. Services will be delayed by one day. 

Spring Youth Baseball/Softball Registration

Youth Baseball and Softball Registration starts December 29- January 19th. You can register online at olivebranch.recdesk.com.
